Delete from the app (signed in)
The quickest way to delete your account is from inside Wealthcast, on the web or in the Android or iOS app:
- Sign in to Wealthcast.
- Open Profile (from the account menu), then scroll to Delete account.
- To confirm your identity, type your account email address into the confirmation box.
- Select Delete account. Your account and sign-in end straight away, you are signed out, and the deletion cannot be undone.
Deleting your account cancels a Pro subscription bought on the web, but not one bought through Google Play or the App Store — cancel that in the store.
You can reach this screen directly at wealthcast.app/app/account/delete once signed in. The same screen also lets you clear your data while keeping your account open: in cloud mode the plan owner can Start over, and in local-storage mode you can Delete cloud data only or Delete local data. See below.
Delete your data but keep your account
If you want to remove your planning data without closing your account, Wealthcast lets you do that from the same screen:
- Sign in to Wealthcast.
- Open Profile, then go to the Delete account screen at wealthcast.app/app/account/delete.
- In cloud mode, the plan owner can choose Start over to clear the plan, net-worth history, and scenarios and return to setup with the same account. In local-storage mode, choose Delete cloud data only to remove the cloud copy while keeping the plan in this browser, or Delete local data to clear the plan saved in your browser.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account stays open and active.
This removes the same planning and scenario data listed below, while keeping your sign-in and account settings so you can start a fresh plan. When you remove cloud planning data this way, it takes effect straight away, and a short 48-hour safety hold guards against mistaken deletion before the removed data is permanently cleared.
If you cannot sign in
If you can no longer access your account, email hello@wealthcast.app from the email address on your Wealthcast account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we act, and we aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What is deleted and what is kept
When your account is deleted, Wealthcast removes or redacts your plan data, your net-worth snapshots and scenarios, your personal account links, your billing email, your personal billing links, and raw payment webhook payloads. Your Wealthcast Foresight consent record and any saved Foresight summaries or chat threads are removed with your account.
If you use local-storage mode, the encrypted plan bundle stored in your own browser is cleared from that device when you delete your account, and any optional encrypted cloud backup is removed. Wealthcast never holds the password or key needed to read those encrypted backups.
We keep only limited records after deletion, where we are required to:
- Limited billing and audit records — including the payment-provider reference IDs needed for accounting, reconciliation, disputes, fraud prevention, security, and legal obligations. For example, certain financial records may be kept for up to six years to meet UK accounting and tax rules.
- A minimal referral record (a one-way tombstone that holds no readable personal data) so a referral cannot be re-used after deletion.
- Our payment processor (Stripe) and, for app-store purchases, the app store may retain their own payment records under their own terms.
Deleted data may remain in our encrypted offsite backups until those backups are deleted.
Short-lived items such as redacted spreadsheet examples shared to improve AI import expire on their own (within 7 days) and are not retained with your account.
